Armageddon Descends IV Fest 2016.03.12@ Vilnius, Lithuania

AOSOTH, INFERNAL WAR and QRIXKUOR has already confirmed participation in the “Armageddon Descends IV”. Hence another underground revelation joins the lineup – Italian death metal monolith MEFITIC. Moreover, as previously, “Armageddon Descends IV” will host a second stage with artists performing powerful extreme electronics. Although MEFITIC has not managed to pick off the laurels of international fame yet, however, they have achieved a quite well-known reputation amongst the underground black/death metal scene. Through more than a decade they have released a number of positively rated releases and also played in various cornerstone festivals, among them the Nuclear War Now! festival. This year MEFITIC has finally released their full-length album, "Woes of Mortal Devotion" which dispelled all doubts - it's a real dark and cold breathing death metal masterpiece. MEFITIC’s sound is like a hollow echo stemming from an abandoned catacombs - low dissonant vibrations, subhuman roars and diverse compositions causing disastrous visions which actively involve the listener in the process. MEFITIC limits to just a few live performances a year and we are proud that “Armageddon Descends IV” will be one of those rare occasions.
VIDINE RAMYBE; (lit. INNER PEACE) is a noise/power electronics project that rarely performs live. It seems that intransigence towards dominating standards of the scene is a motivating factor behind this unit: he might perform with a professional violinist while discussing suicide, he might drown the audience in a lake of complete analogue feedback with visuals in the background. Even the name of the project seemed a bit strange at the beginning, after each release and performance it becomes more and more understandable.
VELEMARA is a project by Skol (INQUISITOR, NYKSTA) of cold dark ambient/industrial that has risen from the ashes of HAEIRESIS. After the first impressive album, which was release by the scene-leading label Autarkeia, he focuses on live performances that are rare and convincing. It encompasses sounds that have no place for hidden comfort or calmness: it is madness, separation, solitude and death.

After the third edition of “Armageddon Descends”, where one of the most essential extreme metal bands of nowadays underground have performed, heretic team “Nekrokatarsis” have begun preparing for next year’s assault.
Hereby, we announce the first act of “Armageddon Descends IV” festival - French black metallers AOSOTH. A group creating audial vibrations which not only beguile with its mature musical side, but altogether bring cold emotions and abstract visuals dissolving all norms. Equally important, the poetry created by AOSOTH is an integral component of the musical composition and together the listeners perversion, which represents total devotion to an authentic ritual. AOSOTH targets those want to be familiar with the other side, the beyond.
This will be a unique performance for AOSOTH, as this will be their first performance in the Baltic States and a rare appearance in Eastern Europe.
